Hi there! I am a teacher in Virginia and Health Promotion Management grad student at American University in Washington, DC. I am an avid runner and have been since I was about 12! Despite a somewhat rocky relationship over the past 13 or so years, running is my number one passion. My favorite thing about running can truly be summed up with one quote, “running never takes more than it gives back”.

Running is the main inspiration behind this blog, as it is the main source of inspiration for so much of my life, but I plan to ramble on about more than just running including but not limited to: friends, family, grad school, books, what I ate for breakfast, my kindergarteners, my niece, my entire life’s history…

Although teaching has been my career aspiration as long as I can remember (and I ADORE my students), I am discovering that it may not be what I want to do forever. I’ve recently come to the realization that I  can turn my love for running and health (physical & mental) into a career (what a concept!). My goal is to intersect my passion for running with my knowledge of teaching and health, into a career working to facilitate change in the realm of athletes and eating disorders (more on that later).

I hope you enjoy my musings and keep coming back for more!
